Editorial Policy & Standards
Mumbai Weekly adheres to the highest standards of journalistic integrity, ethics, and transparency.
1. Fact-Checking & Sourcing Protocol
- Every factual claim, statistic, financial figure, or quote must be verified against primary sources, audited regulatory filings (SEBI, RBI, MCA, SEC), or documented interviews.
- When anonymous sources are granted confidentiality, their identity is verified by an editor and used only when vital public interest information cannot be obtained on the record.
2. Conflicts of Interest & Independence
- Our journalists are prohibited from owning shares in companies they actively cover or accepting gifts, sponsored travel, or financial favors that could compromise objectivity.
- Sponsored content and commercial partnerships are visibly and unmistakably demarcated as "Sponsored" or "Partner Feature" with distinct visual borders.
3. Corrections Policy
- When an error of fact occurs, we correct it promptly and transparently at the top or bottom of the article with a clear timestamp and explanation of the correction.
- To request a factual review or report a correction, email editorial@mumbaiweekly.com with the article URL and verified evidence.
