Fact-Checking & Corrections Policy
Accuracy and truthfulness are foundational to every story published by Mumbai Weekly.
Sourcing & Verification Protocol
- Primary Source First: We prioritize first-hand documentation including stock exchange filings, court orders, gazette notifications, audited corporate earnings, and verbatim interviews.
- Multiple Verification: Critical investigative claims require confirmation from at least two independent, knowledgeable sources.
- Data & Statistical Rigor: Statistical data and macroeconomic figures are cross-verified with official agencies (RBI, Ministry of Statistics, SEBI, IMF, World Bank).
Transparent Corrections
- If you notice a factual discrepancy in any Mumbai Weekly article, please email corrections@mumbaiweekly.com.
- Submissions are reviewed directly by senior editorial leadership.
- If an update or clarification is required, an editorial note is appended to the story with the date, time, and specifics of the adjustment.
